Download Manual

STARBIA201 Body Composition Analyzer is a portable home-use body composition detection system suitable for family members of all ages. It features an upright foot-to-foot four-electrode design that measures the human body through micro-currents and dual-frequency technology (5KHz, 50KHz). It provides precise measurements of multiple physiological parameters including body fat percentage, abdominal visceral fat levels, basal metabolic rate, bone mineral density, bone mass index, lower extremity muscular composition, appendicular skeletal muscle mass index, and hydration status as indicated by the extracellular water to total body water ratio (ECW/TBW), along with comprehensive additional body composition metrics. The product is equipped with Bluetooth transmission capability, allowing measurement data to be instantly sent to a mobile app for viewing.

Percent Body Fat

Body fat percentage quantifies the percentage of body fat in relation to total weight, an important indicator of body composition. Even individuals with weight measurements in the normal range may have elevated body fat percentages—a condition sometimes termed ′normal weight obesity′—which can increase metabolic health risks. Regular monitoring distinguishes between fat and muscle loss during weight reduction, allowing for precise evaluation of exercise and dietary interventions, preventing the common mistake of pursuing weight loss without considering critical changes in body composition.

Abdominal Visceral Fat

Abdominal visceral fat encases internal organs, offering essential protective and cushioning functions. Excessive accumulation is associated with cardiovascular diseases and metabolic syndrome, and even those with normal weight may accumulate excess visceral fat. While traditional assessment methods cannot easily visualize visceral fat accumulation, regular monitoring can identify concealed health risks and precisely measure how dietary changes and physical activity impact visceral fat reduction.

Basal Metabolic Rate

Basal metabolic rate reflects the energy consumed by the body at rest to maintain basic physiological functions. A higher basal metabolic rate typically indicates more efficient organ function, enhanced cellular regeneration and repair processes, and strengthened immune system performance. Understanding your basal metabolic rate enables precise calculation of daily energy requirements, facilitating strategic planning of nutritional intake and macronutrient distribution to optimize overall health outcomes.

Bone Mineral content

Bone mineral content represents the total amount of minerals such as calcium and phosphorus in the bones, the basic components of bone structure. Human bone minerals peak around age 30 and gradually decrease thereafter. Early awareness of your bone mineral status facilitates the development of proactive health management strategies. Through a balanced diet and targeted physical activity, bone mineral reserves can be effectively preserved, preventing accelerated mineral depletion.

Bone Mineral Density

Bone mineral density reflects the bone mineral content per unit volume, showing the density and strength of bones, a key indicator for evaluating osteoporosis and predicting fracture risk. Regular testing enables early detection of bone loss, which, when combined with professional guidance for lifestyle modifications, helps maintain bone structural integrity, reduces fracture risk, and ensures adequate support for daily activities. STARBIA201 delivers radiation-free, real-time, and convenient bone quality assessment, enabling home monitoring of bone health trends—a significant advantage over traditional DXA scanning, which requires scheduled appointments and waiting periods, or ultrasound technology with its inherent accuracy limitations.

Leg Lean Mass

Leg lean mass is fundamentally linked to mobility function. Well-developed leg muscles provide essential support and stability for activities of daily living, significantly reducing fall risk. The legs contain some of the largest muscle groups in the body, and their mass has an important impact on overall metabolism. Adequate leg muscle mass is one of the key factors in maintaining mobility, contributing to independent movement in daily life.

Limb Muscle Mass Index

The limb muscle mass index is critical for evaluating overall muscle function and an important reference for diagnosing sarcopenia. Sufficient limb muscles enhance daily activity performance and increase metabolic rate. Consistent monitoring evaluates strength training effectiveness, identifies muscle mass changes, facilitates precise exercise program development, and enables timely interventions that may help slow or mitigate age-associated muscle deterioration.

Edema Index (ECW/TBW Extracellular to Total Body Water Ratio)

The extracellular to total body water ratio reflects the distribution of water between extracellular spaces and the entire body water content, serving as a refined indicator of the body′s fluid balance. Variations from the standard range may indicate inadequate fluid consumption, insufficient post-exercise rehydration, or underlying health conditions including edema and electrolyte abnormalities. Regular monitoring helps detect early changes in body water regulation, providing an objective basis to help you adjust drinking habits, and when necessary, can be a reference for consulting medical professionals.
